Are appointments necessary?

 

Appointments are not always necessary but are certainly advisable,  customers calling in are very welcome however  without booking there may be a chance we are unable to take you or you may have to wait. Contacting us to make your own private appointment eliminates any disappointment.

 

 

How long does an appointment last?

 

We would advise you allow approximately 1 hour for your appointment - should you feel you may require longer than this please do advise when booking.

 

 

How should I prepare for my appointment?

 

If you have an idea of any dress styles in mind or have kept magazine cuttings etc then please do feel free to bring them along - this helps to determine what styles we have that could be similar to your desired look! If not then keep an open mind, it is always worth taking on board the opinions of your fittings advisor. As we constantly work with a variety of brides we may have a style in mind that we feel would be fantastic on - and something that you possibly may have overlooked or not considered! Remember that helping you look your best is our first and foremost. Wearing good underwear also helps greatly - good support wear can add to giving a fantastic shape, particularly to slim fitting gowns. We do ask all customer that no false tanning products are to be worn prior to your appointment, this is to prevent damage to the gowns of which are kept in pristine condition.

 

 

What should I expect during my appointment?

 

When arriving you will be warmly greeted by a member of staff of whom will ask some key questions to establish what type of wedding you will be having, if there is a theme you intend to follow, if you are considering a particular colour or a style you may already have in mind.

 

If you do have an idea of what you see yourself in as well as suggesting a few complimentary styles that you may also wish to try. We are on hand to give you as much assistance & guidance as you require in order to feel as comfortable with your experience as possible. There is a relaxing seating area for any family or friends that have accompanied you whilst you give a private fashion show of your choice of our gorgeous range of gowns and accessories!

 

 

Are there private changing facilites?

 

Absolutely!!! Our changing facilities are spacious, warm & relaxed - making you feel completely at ease.

 

 

Can I bring family or friends along?

 

Yes you certainly can! Our advice though would be to pick someone who’s judgement you trust and that will understand your taste may be different from their own! Remember a large number of people accompanying you could add more confusion to your decision making than you would expect, simply because many people will have different opinions and tastes than that of your own.

 

 

How long in advance should I be looking for my bridal wear?

 

This is entirely up to you - however, we recommend that you order your dress as soon as possible, a year before your wedding date is a good time to purchase your gown as designers delivery times can be lengthy, you will also be advised to give time for any unexpected alterations.

 

 

When should I order my bridesmaids gowns?

 

Our recommendation is once you order your bridal gown then start shopping for your maids. We provide free fabric swatches of all our bridal and bridesmaids materials/colours, which is really handy for co-ordinating flowers, shoes, cake decorations, chair covers etc.

 

 

I have a bridesmaid that lives abroad, is this going to be a problem?

 

Absolutely not! We have dealt with many brides that face the same scenario. The measuring of your bridesmaid can be arranged with a local dress fitter of whom can forward the measurements onto ourselves - we can then take the ordering process from there.

 

 

How long do the gowns take to arrive?

 

This can vary according to designers, and therefore it is best to check before ordering. It is important to give plenty of time, this allows for unforeseen delays in air travel or shipping. We will always give you an expected delivery date however if this is unsuitable we are able to arrange a rush delivery.

 

 

I don’t want a traditional ivory dress - do you have other colours?

 

Absolutely. Most of our gowns are available in a range of colours... Such as white, gold, champagne & bordeaux. If you would prefer something completely different our beautiful range of Jasmine Bridal Gowns are available in a fantastic variety of colours, styles & materials - you can even change details such as the length of the train, if you would prefer either a zip or lace-up back and detailing. Please enquire within to view a range of services that are available to make your gown that little bit special!

 

 

I am getting married abroad, what should I consider?

 

This is a decision entirely up to yourself, however if you are travelling somewhere hot we would certainly recommend having a look at our ‘Destination’ collection of which is extremely easy to travel with, is available in a selection of beautifully delicate materials & colours that are both comfortable & elegant to wear. Factors to take into consideration are things such as ease of travel with the garment, is it comfortable, will you be able wearing it all day? We have a gorgeous range of gowns that are ideal for getting married abroad in a price range starting from only £195!

*Please remember to check with your travel agent for extra services such as gown steaming as there may be creasing due to travelling.

 

 

I don’t want a big traditional wedding gown - is there an alternative?

 

Of course! Non traditional weddings are becoming increasingly popular. At Bliss we have a range of gowns that are available for the contemporary bride in a stunning selection of fabrics & colours.

 

 

Do you hire any dresses?

 

Sorry, no, at present we only sell dresses that are available within the boutique.

 

 

How do I pay for my gown?

 

You will be required to pay a 50% deposit with the remainder paid  when your gown arrives.

 

What type of payments do you accept?

 

Cash, Debit/Credit cards, Cheques. Please note if paying by cheque the amount must be cleared by our bankers prior to the dress/items being collected.

 

 

I’m on a very restricted budget... Can you help?

 

Absolutely. We have sale bridal gowns available from as little as £195 and gorgeous maids from as little as £55!

 

 

Do you have fabric/colour swatches available?

 

Yes... Fabric/Colour swatches are available for all our gowns, absolutely free!

 

 

How far in advance should I book an appointment?

 

Evening & Saturday appointments with Bliss book up very fast, it is always advisable to contact us as early as possible to ensure that the requested date/time is available.

 

 

What sizes do your gowns range from & to?

 

All of our bridal  & maids/occasional wear is available to order in sizes 4 - 32,  alternatively a made to measure service can also be requested. Our sample gowns hoever range from size 8 - 16, however our new bridal suite Blissfull, caters for girls 16+.. With a range of  shoes, lingerie and accessories to compliment!

 

 

I’m a fuller figured girl - do you have a range to suit me?

 

Absolutely! We have recently launched Blissfull, Northern Irelands premier plus size bridal suite - all our gowns are dedicated to brides 16+ and are available in  a wide range of styles specifically designed to compliment the fuller figure,  we also have a beauitful selection of lingerie and comfort/wide fit footwear - ensuring that not only will you look fantastic you’ll feel fantastic too!
